Let’s Get Social – featuring Lisa Sharp

Welcome back for another week of, Let's Get Social, where I feature a different entrepreneur every Sunday!

This week I am featuring Lisa Sharp of Clear Calm Space. Don't forget – if you or someone you know can help out the featured entrepreneur with their area of need (see question #4), be sure to leave a comment! Also, if you would like to be the next entrepreneur featured, learn how at the end of this post. Enjoy!

Q&A Time – featuring Lisa Sharp:

If you were a super hero, what would your super power be?

I’ve always wanted a nose like Samantha on the 60's tv show Bewitched. She could do lots of cool things with that nose of hers.

What song do you crank up when you need a boost, or are celebrating a business victory?

“Groove is in the Heart” by Deee-lite. It makes me laugh and reminds me of when I was in college. It is impossible for me to not shake my butt to that song. Pure fun.

What's the best book you've read this year? (business or fiction)

That’s a tough one to answer! Like most entrepreneurs I know, I read a ton because I’m always looking for the next great business book that will show me The Way! I listen to a lot of my books (thanks Audible.com!) and I’d say the one I most often re-listen is The War of Art by Steven Pressfield There’s a reason why everyone says it’s great–it is! It’s my go-to kick in the pants book when I’m feeling like I’m not making traction in my efforts. Here’s the synopsis for anyone who hasn’t read it yet: Park your butt in the chair and get to work! No excuses!

I love to play business match maker. What area of your business could you use help with, in case the Socially Aligned audience or I can hook you up with someone?

Being a business owner means wearing a crazy number of hats. Some fit, some…not so much. The hat I’d most like to take off is the polisher of nearly finished projects! I need a VA who gets me and my business and can help me finish the dozens of projects I have sitting in Google Drive just waiting to be made lovely, formatted and sent out into the world. I’m am really bad about letting certain technical stuff trip me up and then I’m on to the next shiny new project. Ditto for my website. I have a list of WordPress things that I need done but I just don’t really want to fool with. I’d also like someone to come to my house and make me a healthy lunch every day. I hate making my own lunch. 🙂

Apple or PC?

My husband is in IT and is a hard-core Open Source Software dude. So it’s been all Ubuntu/PC in my house for the last 10 years until…my laptop croaked and I declared that I wanted a MacBook Pro. Much to my husband’s chagrin, I bought it and I am totally loving it. It’s just so lovely (and I am all about aesthetics)! I just ignore my husband’s eye rolling.

What's your favorite social media network for business?

I’m on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Google+. Of those, I use Facebook the most consistently for my business. I need some help figuring out those dang ads…

What hidden talent do you have that people would be surprised to learn of?

I am a trained Reference Librarian. I worked in public libraries for over 10 years before I decided to start my own business. I can find you the answer to nearly any question inside of 15 minutes and I love problem-solving and working with the people, so my business is really an extension of those years behind the library circulation desk!

Give us the elevator pitch – what do you do and where can people find you online to connect?

Are you overwhelmed with piles of stuff everywhere? Embarrassed your house is a mess and everything is out of control? Have half-full bins of stuff everywhere and no clue what’s in them? Does the doorbell ringing send you straight into panic mode? Do you ever avoid going home because it’s too depressing?

Hi, I'm Lisa Sharp and I fix all that. I work with successful people who feel way too busy and overwhelmed to deal with decluttering, organizing and beautifying their homes and offices. Decluttering and organizing at its core is about self-care and taking care of the Future You. It's about finding your stuff when you need it in a way that makes sense to you. It's about reclaiming your space and being surrounded by the things that light you up. It's about making your house into your home, the place that supports you and lets you recharge so you can go into the world from a centered, grounded place.

I work with clients in person in Atlanta, Georgia and virtually via Skype/Facetime/Google Hangouts with people all over the world.
