Welcome back for another week of, Let's Get Social, where I feature a different entrepreneur every Sunday!

This week I am featuring Monika Proffitt. Don't forget – if you or someone you know can help out the featured entrepreneur with their area of need (see question #4), be sure to leave a comment! Also, if you would like to be the next entrepreneur featured, learn how at the end of this post. Enjoy!

Q&A Time – featuring Monika:

If you were a super hero, what would your super power be?

My superpower would be flight. I know, it sounds cliche, but I absolutely love flying in airplanes because I have my best thoughts up there, while seeing everything from a bird's eye view. If I could do that whenever I wanted, I’d be one happy girl. And I’d probably be smarter too. 🙂

What song do you crank up when you need a boost, or are celebrating a business victory?

Hmmm… I’ve been pretty addicted to Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” for a while now.  It was definitely my crank up song of 2014.  I think I am due for a change in 2015 – any suggestions?

What's the best book you've read this year? (business or fiction)

The Big Leap: Conquer Your Hidden Fear and Take Life to the Next Level  It could have just been good timing, but it was just the book I needed to read at just the right time last summer.

I love to play business match maker. What area of your business could you use help with, in case the Socially Aligned audience or I can hook you up with someone?

I am currently oozing for a web developer who has worked on membership sites before….. Because Starry Night Programs, my company, is launching a new online Artist Resources & Tools Program (ART Program) this spring, and we’ve got loads of web development to finish. If you can recommend anyone, I’m all ears!

Apple or PC?

Apple.  All the way.  My MacBook Pro is my BFF.

What's your favorite social media network for business?

Facebook has done us right, for sure.  But I am starting to get a crush on Instagram.  A picture speaks a thousand words, and I work with artists, so… Yeah, visual communication is my crack, and Instagram is a great platform for that.

What hidden talent do you have that people would be surprised to learn of?

I’m a Reiki Master Level II.  Secret’s out now!

Give us the elevator pitch – what do you do and where can people find you online to connect?

I founded Starry Night Programs nearly five years ago. We are dedicated to nurturing artists and their careers through our Residency, Exhibition, and Online ART Programs.
The Artist In Residence program in the quiet, rural town of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, nestled in the downtown historic hot springs district. Here, we provide a nourishing environment for artists, writers, and researchers of all disciplines to accomplish new work.

The Starry Night Exposure Program provides visual artists with the opportunity to exhibit their work during Art Basel Miami in Miami Beach and the Frieze Art Fair in New York City, and soon, in Venice, Italy for the Venice Biennale. The Exposure program brings visual artists onto the international stage to participate in these contemporary, high traffic art fairs in order to launch their careers to the next level.

The Online Program is the Artist Resources & Tools Program (aka the ART Program). It is a virtual classroom for visual artists where we provide them with the tools they need to succeed and achieve the professional success they deserve as culture creators and critical voices.
