Let’s Get Social – featuring Roslyn Lindsay

Welcome back for another week of, Let's Get Social, where I feature a different entrepreneur every Sunday!

This week I am featuring Roslyn Lindsay of Rainbowcrafts Jewellery – who makes jewellery and also arranges jewellery-making parties for kids in the Glasgow area.

Don't forget – if you or someone you know can help out the featured entrepreneur with their area of need (see question #4), be sure to leave a comment!

Also, if you would like to be the next entrepreneur featured, learn how at the end of this post.

Q&A Time – featuring Roslyn Lindsay of Rainbowcraft

If you were a super hero, what would your super power be?

I would be able to speed up time so I could zoom through the household chores, then slow it right down so that I could get twice as much crafting done!

What song do you crank up when you need a boost, or are celebrating a business victory?

That's a hard one, so many to choose from but I will settle with Silver Machine by Hawkwind.

What's the best book you've read this year? (business or fiction)

I am actually reading it just now and it's called “Pinterest For Profits: How To Master Pinterest Marketing In 15 Days” by Cheryl Stinchcomb.

I love to play business match maker. What area of your business could you use help with, in case the Socially Aligned audience or I can hook you up with someone?

Where to start – managing the home/work balance when working from home; staying up to date with social media.

Apple or PC?

What's your favorite social media network for business?

Definitely Pinterest at the moment. Love the way you can build boards on any subject  and pin on other people's boards. Also beginning to get into Instagram since my daughter set up an account for me. I didn't think it was for me but beginning to appreciate the value it can add to my business.

What hidden talent do you have that people would be surprised to learn of?

I can sing. A long time ago, when I was a young thing my friend and I came second in the Glasgow Music Festival.

Give us the elevator pitch – what do you do and where can people find you online to connect?

My business is called Rainbowcrafts. I make and sell jewellery and organize jewellery making parties for children. I have also helped bring together local crafters under the banner of Crafty Divas and we are currently setting up pop-up shops in various big businesses in Glasgow and have a regular booking twice a month in a local shopping centre.

You can find Roslyn at www.rainbowcrafts.me.uk on Pinterest, and on Facebook.

Now for my social media tip of the week! And since Roslyn mentioned Pinterest, that will be the topic! {See the embedded Facebook post below.}

If you're an entrepreneur and would like to join in the fun, email [email protected] with YOUR answers to these same questions, and you could be featured here next week!
