The Free and Easy Way to Pick a Social Media Expert’s Brain

(A.K.A.) Why small business owners should care about Social Media Day

If you are a small business owner or entrepreneur you probably have some questions about social media. Have you ever wished you could “pick the brain” of a social media consultant – for free?

Maybe you’ve read some articles online and couldn’t figure out how to apply the info to your business. Or perhaps you’re just getting started and don’t know which social networks you should be on – if any.

Social Media Day is on June 30, 2013 and it is the perfect chance to get your questions asked and answered in a casual setting! It’s a chance to meet face-to-face with social media thought-leaders in Lexington, KY, float ideas by them and possibly even meet your next social media manager or consultant.

Created by Mashable in 2010, these informal gatherings connect people who love to share their ideas on social media with locals looking for answers. If this sounds like fun to you, we’d love to see you at the Lexington, KY gathering for Social Media Day 2013! (Not in Lexington? Find a meetup in your area.)

When: June 30, 2013 at 7 PM
Where: Jefferson Davis Inn at 319 Cedar Street, Lexington, Kentucky
What: Networking between local social media experts and small businesses. There will be a cash bar and free cake will be provided by our sponsor, Happy as a Lark Cake Creations.

How to Prepare for the Event

Business Owners: Bring your top social media questions that you’d like to get answered. An open discussion with those “in-the-know” can lead to new ideas and better ROI for your social media efforts. Also, bring business cards to make it easier to connect after the event.

Social Media Experts: Bring business cards, and more importantly, an eagerness to share your social media ideas and expertise with everyone in attendance!

Thank you to the Event Sponsors: Essentially Ali for organizing the event, and Happy as a Lark Cake Creations for providing a social media themed cake!
