Let’s Get Social – featuring Vicky Murgatroyd
Welcome back for another week of Let's Get Social, where I feature a different entrepreneur every Sunday!
This week I am featuring Vicky Murgatroyd. Don't forget – if you or someone you know can help out the featured entrepreneur with their area of need (see question #4), be sure to leave a comment! Also, if you would like to be the next entrepreneur featured, learn how at the end of this post. Enjoy!
Q&A Time – featuring Vicky:
If you were a superhero, what would your super power be?
My superpower would have to be…teleportation – to be able to move in the blink of an eye from one place to any other in the world. Firstly, I'm a travel nut, and secondly, because I live on the other side of the world to my family and it would be awesome to see them more!!
What song do you crank up when you need a boost, or are celebrating a business victory?
An oldie that I discovered again recently – Alanis Morissette's Thank You. I'm all about gratitude, it's shifted my whole life! The song talks about being grateful for the bad not just the good, it really resonates with me.
What's the best book you've read this year? (Business or fiction)
Dr Joe Dispenza, Breaking The Habit Of Being Yourself. The guy has some ridiculous knowledge and an amazing way of getting it across! Plus, the meditations at the back of the book create a great shift in your thinking.
I love to play business matchmaker. What area of your business could you use help with, in case the Socially Aligned audience or I can hook you up with someone?
I would love to work with someone who is a tech whizz – and totally aligned with personal growth and changing the world too. That would massively speed up our growth, as I have developed a good understanding of how to get the tech side of things up and running, but it can be a bit of a time drain and it's not what lights me up!
Apple or PC?
Apple, I converted last year from a PC life time and haven't looked back!
What's your favorite social media network for business?
I think Facebook is fantastic for its reach and different options (and familiarity!!) but I'd love to get more in tune with LinkedIn as it would be great new avenue to connect with my audience.
What hidden talent do you have that people would be surprised to learn of?
I LOVE to write – and before I studied personal development I always thought that I would be a writer. Now I'm going to marry the two – but I HAVE to write a fiction book in my lifetime!
Give us the elevator pitch – what do you do and where can people find you online to connect?
I work with female entrepreneurs who are feeling the pressure – who are stressed, anxious, overwhelmed and even depressed. We create a massive mindset shift in which they let go of those old behaviours and emotions that were driving their previous mindset. Your external world is a reflection of your internal world, and when you work from the source – your internal world – you can be successful, inspired, in flow, productive, and HAPPY while you do it! Each and every female entrepreneur is stepping out of her comfort zone in order to fulfill herself – she should be extraordinarily rewarded from that, and that HAS to come from within herself!
