Let’s Get Social – featuring Shai Bearden
Welcome back for another week of Let’s Get Social, where I feature a different entrepreneur every Sunday!
This week I am featuring Shai Bearden. Don’t forget – if you or someone you know can help out the featured entrepreneur with their area of need (see question #4), be sure to leave a comment! Also, if you would like to be the next entrepreneur featured, learn how at the end of this post. Enjoy!
Q&A Time – featuring Shai:
If you were a superhero, what would your super power be?
I would be an Omega-level mutant like Jean Grey, from X-Men. She has the powers of telekinesis, telepathy, mind reading, astral projection…she’s a total badass.
What song do you crank up when you need a boost, or are celebrating a business victory?
Does Disney’s Frozen soundtrack count? True story, my preschooler and I have it on vinyl and that’s our go-to. We both also love Billy Idol, and I have a dubstep playlist on Spotify that helps me focus.
What’s the best book you’ve read this year? (Business or fiction)
‘If You Find This Letter…‘ by Hannah Brencher is my current favorite non-fiction read, but it’s a memoir, not a business book. My favorite business book is still, by far, The Big Leap. I listen to it at least once a week!.
I love to play business matchmaker. What area of your business could you use help with, in case the Socially Aligned audience or I can hook you up with someone?
Right now, I’m working on a book called ‘Dear Wild Sister’. It’s a compilation of real, raw letters from women, to women. So, of course, I’m looking for women to write letters, endorsements for the project, and publishing help – with a publishing house, not self-pub.
Apple or PC?
PC, for sure. I started out on a PC and I don’t like change. lol.
What’s your favorite social media network for business?
Facebook and Instagram, about equally.
What hidden talent do you have that people would be surprised to learn of?
I’m a certified archery instructor. I wouldn’t really call it a talent, but it’s always something people are surprised to learn.
Give us the elevator pitch – what do you do and where can people find you online to connect?
I run Wild Sister – a revolutionary e-mag + global sisterhood of women who rock at life. We aim to inspire you to love yourself, follow your bliss + change the world. Folks can find me over at wildsister.com, or anywhere on social as @wildsistermag and @shaiunleashed!
