Let’s Get Social – featuring Jemma Vanderboon
Welcome back for another week of, Let's Get Social, where I feature a different entrepreneur every Sunday!
This week I am featuring Jemma Vanderboon. Don't forget – if you or someone you know can help out the featured entrepreneur with their area of need (see question #4), be sure to leave a comment! Also, if you would like to be the next entrepreneur featured, learn how at the end of this post. Enjoy!
Q&A Time – featuring Jemma:
If you were a superhero, what would your super power be?
I would love the power of teleportation…. I am notoriously impatient and love to travel so this would go towards both these things! Really, there could be nothing better than dreaming of a faraway place and simply blinking my eyes and being right there!
What song do you crank up when you need a boost, or are celebrating a business victory?
What's the best book you've read this year? (Business or fiction)
I'm a little ashamed to say it but I don't read nearly as much as I'd like to! I absolutely love to loose myself in a book but since becoming a mum and starting my business, there always seems to be something else I should be doing! I did like Essentialism by Greg McKeown. I am a total minimalist so his theories really appealed to me.
I love to play business matchmaker. What area of your business could you use help with, in case the Socially Aligned audience or I can hook you up with someone?
I love working with small business owners who love what they do and understand that success comes to those than concentrate on what they do best and outsource the rest!
Apple or PC?
Definitely PC! I envy the marketing genius that is Apple but can't handle the control they have over everything.
What's your favorite social media network for business?
Facebook! For me, it's got a great balance of business and personal. I love that I can show my clients (and potential clients) and snippet of my personality while still remaining professional.
What hidden talent do you have that people would be surprised to learn of?
Hmmmm…. I'm VERY domesticated! I'm not sure if that's a “hidden talent” but it's certainly something that people are surprised to learn about me. I love to cook and bake and potter around my house!
Give us the elevator pitch – what do you do and where can people find you online to connect?
I look after the online aspects for small business owners so that they are able to focus on other matters that are more important to them. I help relieve the strain that online business feel when they are trying to juggle everything at once.
