Let’s Get Social – featuring Dianne Moore
Welcome back for another week of Let's Get Social, where I feature a different entrepreneur every Sunday!
This week I am featuring Diane Moore. Don't forget – if you or someone you know can help out the featured entrepreneur with their area of need (see question #4), be sure to leave a comment! Also, if you would like to be the next entrepreneur featured, learn how at the end of this post. Enjoy!
Q&A Time – featuring Diane:
If you were a superhero, what would your super power be?
I would love to be able to have the power to persuade with the wave of my hand, like Obi Wan Kenobi. I would suggest that women do more self-care. Women seem to hesitate taking care of themselves because they're busy taking care of others. When we take care of ourselves we have so much more energy and creativity to give to our families, our friends and our businesses. So I would persuade women to do more self-care!
What song do you crank up when you need a boost, or are celebrating a business victory?
This is How We Do It by Montell Jordan
. It's about forgetting small arguments and problems, and celebrating simple pleasures. You don't always win in business, but remembering to celebrate small gains is as important as big wins.
What's the best book you've read this year? (Business or fiction)
Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert
. She talks about the power of imagination, trusting your gut, being aligned with your values and following your instincts. As a woman in business, I operate according to a softer business model, and I value the opportunity to be creative with what I offer to my clients.
I love to play business matchmaker. What area of your business could you use help with, in case the Socially Aligned audience or I can hook you up with someone?
I'm small at present, but feel like my business will soon pick up. I've been moving to more online content, and don't have the capacity to “do it all myself” anymore. I forsee the need for a virtual assistant in the future.
Apple or PC?
What's your favorite social media network for business?
I love Facebook for the broad reach it has, and I've recently been learning to appreciate Pinterest and Instagram as well.
What hidden talent do you have that people would be surprised to learn of?
I love gardening and have a green thumb. This comes in handy as some of the features of my business include nutrition, cooking and knowing about organic practices. I can grow herbs in my kitchen garden that have a super impact on the flavor and nutritional value of a dish, and it's so simple!
Give us the elevator pitch – what do you do and where can people find you online to connect?
I'm a certified health coach & environmental toxins educator. Through simple nutrition and lifestyle changes, I help women reach their optimum weight, gain tons of energy and reduce their exposure to toxins in their homes and personal care products. Check out my website at www.MooreBetterFood.com
