Let’s Get Social – featuring Amanda Russell
Welcome back for another week of, Let’s Get Social, where I feature a different entrepreneur every Sunday!
This week I am featuring Amanda Russell of UTDU. Amanda was one of my FB Ads Incubator students, and I’m proud to have her on the blog this week!
Don’t forget – if you or someone you know can help out the featured entrepreneur with their area of need (see question #4), be sure to leave a comment! Also, if you would like to be the next entrepreneur featured, learn how at the end of this post. Enjoy!
Q&A Time – featuring Amanda:
If you were a superhero, what would your super power be?
If I were a super hero, my super power would be, being able to communicate without speaking. I think we’re close and that would just be amazing.
What song do you crank up when you need a boost, or are celebrating a business victory?
I did that this morning! One Republic ‘Counting Stars’
What’s the best book you’ve read this year? (Business or fiction)
The Simplicity of Stillness Method, by Marlise Karlin about how to rewire your brain for your highest potential. It includes some awesome meditation mp3s that allow you to quiet the mind without being good at meditation.
I love to play business matchmaker. What area of your business could you use help with, in case the Socially Aligned audience or I can hook you up with someone?
I’m currently looking for a designer to work with who likes my branding style (that another designer created), uses squarespace & likes to design PDF guidebooks books (20-100 pages) working closely with me to make these complicated topics visually easy to follow.
Apple or PC?
Apple, all the way. Although, I’m worried about them without Steve!
What’s your favorite social media network for business?
That’s a hard one for me, as the more I get into them all, I really enjoy each one for its own uniqueness. I’m just getting into Twitter and I’m really loving the organic nature of interaction and network building.
What hidden talent do you have that people would be surprised to learn of?
I’m a Wilderness First Responder and have all sorts of outdoor skills, which usually surprises people. My father started me winter backpacking in the White Mountains when I was 8 years old.
Give us the elevator pitch – what do you do and where can people find you online to connect?
I help small business owners get clarity around their accounting, taxes & business requirements, through one-on-one sessions & educational resources. My philosophy is transitioning these topics from complicated requirements to tools that allow small businesses to thrive.
